This is a fossilised sea urchin, Clypeus Ploti, measuring H 9.5 x W 9.5 cm.  The fossil is pale mushroom in colour.  The front shows the characteristic 'flower' shape of the fossil.  The back shows this shape only faintly.  The fossil is from the Middle Jurassic Era (approx 170 million years ago) and was found at Stow on the Wold, Gloucestershire.  Plastic stand included.
