Plesiosaur Vertebra - 7.5 x 9 cm

This thick, chunky vertebra was found in the Kimmeridge Clay, Weymouth, Dorset and is from the Jurassic era.  The vertebra measures approx H 7.5 x W 9 x D 5 cm.  Concave on both faces with good detail round the edge. 

Plesiosaur was a Marine Reptile, approx 3.5 m long. From the early Jurassic period, 199-175 million years ago.
