Good ridge detail on both ammonites and smaller one has a particularly detailed centre. Block has a lot of fossil activity in addition to the two ammonites - partial imprints on the front and back plus other bits and pieces and calcite veins running through the rock. Good example of gradual sedimentary build-up. Flat cut base for easy display.
Total measurements are: H 11.5 x W 12.5 x D 5 cm at base. Larger ammonite measures: H 4 x W 5 cm, and smaller is H 4 x W 3.5 cm.
Found in the Beaminster area, Dorset, from the Lower Jurassic period.
